    Silver tone metal 2-1/4 by 2-1/2. Looks like stainless steel, maybe you can buff out the gash. I was thinking someone could embellish this or might need a good buckle for refurbishing something. Sorry about the gash, this is priced accordingly. I've had this since I was a teenager. I bought it at the fabric store, it had the gash then and was in the bargain basket. Probably paid a quarter for it. I'm 64 and still have it. I just like certain things...for some reason I really like this buckle!
